Army Cadets take part in a variety of training activities designed to help you become more self-confident, develop your leadership skills, become an engaged citizen, and improve your physical fitness and communication skills. Cadets meet every Wednesday and some weekends throughout the school year. Cadets can attend courses at summer training centers during the summer months. There is no cost to cadets to attend summer training, in fact, they receive a paid training bonus for the duration of their summer training. If you are between
the ages of 12 and 18, inclusive, and are interested in joining 2833 Oxford
Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps, please visit us at the Royal
Canadian Legion in Woodstock. We parade on Wednesday's
during the school year, from 6:30 to 9:30pm. The Department of National
Defence and The Army Cadet League of Canada work together to provide the
facilities and material required to operate each cadet corps. As
such, there is no cost to join this program! Cadets
are not members of the military and make no commitments regarding future
military service. However, those who decide to join the Forces
later in life start out with the advantage of having learned valuable
skills through Army Cadets. 2) Fill out the Application for Enrollment 3)
